Juba Dance
Orange Juiced Remixes and B-Sides
2008

In 2007, Chicago’s Juba Dance released their debut Orange. A genre-breaching amalgamation of organic/synthetic, concrete/abstract, and foreign/domestic elements, Orange had critics and DJ’s buzzing. Word about these infectious sounds spread worldwide, gaining accolades from writers in North America, The UK, Australia, and Japan.

Juba Dance’s highly anticipated sophomore release, Orange Juiced is a collection of remixes and new songs. More moody and experimental than their last outing, this is a prelude of things to come and a celebration of things past. The six new, previously unreleased tracks run from elegant jazz compositions to electro house and include “Vivo Viajar” featuring Mauricio F. from São Paulo, Brazil.

Keeping in step with Orange’s international flavor, the remixes are by diverse artists from around the world; Sicker Man from Berlin's Blank Records, San Francisco based turntablist Flesh O.N.E., Austria's Tomá Ivanov, Chicago's Tony Trimm, Turbo-Rexxxa from Helsinki, and two remixes by Juba Dance's own Polyphonic the Verbose. This is a Juba Dance re-imagined and expanded, a hint of the sounds from their upcoming full length Apple.
